Aim and learning outcomes The aim of this article is to enable readers to explore the concept of loss in relation to the support of bereaved people with learning disabilities. The concept of loss and its associated effects will be introduced; the challenges in working with bereaved people with learning disabilities identified; approaches to effective support explored and a model providing a broad spectrum of support presented for discussion.
